While we are currently concentrating on products that will accelerate the rollout of the electric vehicle charging infrastructure, our long-term vision is for mobility-as-a-service (MaaS) based on autonomous vehicles.

 

Despite some hiccups and regulatory delays that have pushed out timelines for Autonomous Vehicle (AV) launches and delayed customer adoption, autonomous driving has the potential to disrupt and transform transportation as a service, consumer behaviour, and society at large. By 2035, autonomous driving could create $300 billion to $400 billion in revenue. Despite these delays, AVs will hit the road. We continue to research what enablers will contribute to their widespread adoption, services that will build on autonomous vehicles as one of the prime movers of MaaS and what technologies will be critical on the road to autonomy.

 

We have a basket of ideas for the long term based on autonomous vehicles and services for owners and fleet operators of autonomous vehicles, addressing the challenges they will face.
