Vahanomy amongst 12 new companies selected for AI Accelerator programme for 2022

Vahanomy is delighted to have been selected to a group of emerging companies from Scotland, the UK and other parts of the globe for the innovative business commercialisation programme, the AI Accelerator, by Bayes Centre.


The AI Accelerator programme which will be delivered hybrid, in-person and online, by the Bayes Centre, and Edinburgh Innovations, The University of Edinburgh’s commercialisation service on behalf of all the University of Edinburgh’s Data-Driven Innovation Hubs. Companies that have been selected must use AI for the wider societal benefit to deliver solutions in core areas such as health and wellbeing, social care, and environmental stewardship. Vahanomy will benefit from a package of support focused on building connections, as well as from leadership mentoring and support with product development will help Vahanomy achieve its aspiration to be a world-leading company in data analytics and enabler of the decarbonisation of transport.


Vahanomy's services are B2B and B2G solutions that will remove the bottlenecks in the rollout of electric vehicle charging infrastructure globally. Emissions from transport contributed 27 % of Greenhouse gases in the UK. Vahanomy will help B2B customers to find locations to match their EV charging infrastructure strategy. Our AI-powered location data intelligence tool will assess and analyse proposed EV charging locations for the opportunity, viability and risks that a location presents. Our market researched 95 parameters/data points based on qualitative, quantitative, geospatial and sentiment data.


CHRGR.io , to be launched in late October 2022, is a B2B marketplace for stakeholders in the EV charging ecosystem. It will provide a listing and demand platform for potential and existing EV charging sites


The AI Accelerator programme provides Vahanomy with an opportunity to engage with a community of over four hundred internationally recognised scientists, outstanding PhD students, leading industry experts and innovation support professionals, working together across disciplines and sectors to advance data technology and apply it to our solutions.


The Bayes Centre offers a new kind of collaborative, multidisciplinary proving ground to develop innovative technological solutions for the benefit of society. Working in partnership with Scottish Enterprise, the Bayes Centre is part of the Data-Driven Innovation (DDI) Programme within the Edinburgh and South East Scotland City Region Deal. It collaborates closely with other DDI hubs, the Edinburgh Futures Institute, the Usher Institute, the National Robotarium, and Easter Bush. Data science education, tech entrepreneurship, and industrially driven, multidisciplinary research and design are the core pillars of its strategy to boost the Universityʼs impact across Edinburgh, the region, nationally, and internationally through activity that complements the existing strengths of its community.
